How it all began…

Sophie and Natasha, the Managing Directors of Empire Event Management met at Howells School, Llandaff. They both took part in the Young Enterprise Programme  in school forming a company called ‘Jive’ with 9 other friends. ‘Jive’  organised a large fashion show event at The Coal Exchange, Cardiff Bay in 2006 where 460 people attended. The event was such a success that ‘Jive’ went on to win the Young Enterprise Cardiff and Vale finals that same year and Natasha also won the Western Mail Welsh Woman of the Year Young Achiever Award. Their passion for events stemmed from this experience.

Both Managing Directors then went to University, Sophie to University of Glamorgan and Natasha to Cardiff University. The pair had always wanted to work in Event Management and had thought that they could bring a little something extra to events in Cardiff. Empire Event Management was born in 2010.

Both business partners are high achieving, hard working, passionate about events and have excellent attention to detail.
